Buzz Aldrin sits in the cockpit of his North American F-86 Sabre while serving with the 51st Fighter-Interceptor Wing during the Korean War. In combat over Korea, he flew missions against Soviet-built MiG-15s and was credited with two aerial victories during the fierce jet battles fought over “MiG Alley.”
